So, people ask me, "How can I look as awesome as the women in your photographs? I'm pretty sure I don't look that good."
Well, I'd like to take all the credit, but my collaborators and I simply pull out what's already there and bring it to the surface. Then YOU, suddenly seeing how hot you are, do much of the rest of the work while I guide you along step-by-step with posing and encouragement. I look for the gorgeous angles, the pretty light, and shoot!
I was really excited to shoot with A.T. The thing I particularly liked about her was that she looked like someone I'd meet at my girls' school running some fundraiser. Looking at her, I could see the potential in what we could make happen. She has a cool face, stunning body art (most of it hidden), great energy--and she's funny as hell! When she showed up for the shoot she said, "You said come with your face clean so I came pretty stripped down!"
After a brief chat, makeup artist Jacklyn Humes, A.T. and I came up with a plan. We discussed color palate, the look of the makeup and the features we wanted to enhance. We knew those eyes were the key the look we wanted to create. Watching Jacklyn coax A.T.'s features into the light was impressive. About an hour later, makeup and hair was done and we hit the sheets! Well, you know what I mean.
I've shared some of her photos on Instagram, my Facebook page, and on my website, but above are the Before and After photos and below, The Hotness! And no, there's not a bunch of Photoshop/retouching here. I like to keep things pretty real. So, yes, there is some skin smoothing--kind of like putting digital foundation all over the body. And there are subtle tweaks to bring out highlights and shadows, but this is pretty much how amazing A.T. looked in front of the camera.
So the answer to the question is, "Yes, you can look as amazing as the women who have allowed me to share their photographs. You already look good. Let us polish you up and make you shine. That's the "how."
